It is my goal as your chef at Candia Woods to provide you, our Guests with the best quality and safest food products as possible. At least two or more of our kitchen staff are serve safe certified each season and our annual health inspection reports have passed with high scores. Sanitation is as important as the quality and flavor of the food products we produce.
Speaking of sanitation, I have recently toured the Sysco warehouse in Plympton, Massachusetts.  I was impressed with the organization and cleanliness of the facility. Every truck and the warehouse is cleaned and sanitized every day.  I took some pictures and thought I would share them with you. If you have any questions about this blog or anything food related please feel free to stop and ask me or email me.

I have toured Saunders produce and Poultry Products as well.  The Sysco plant and Poultry Products are both Brand new, state of the art facilities. Poultry Products is where all the chicken, beef and other proteins you enjoy here at Candia comes from. They are both meet or are exceeding federal and state regulations. Saunders, although not state of the art (old warehouse) they do meet all health regulations. Saunders also has a new cutting room for processed vegetables, such as cut romaine we use for Caesar salad.
My staff and I are looking forward to cooking for all the leagues, golf outing and private parties. May all of you have many great golf games in 2016, the weather will be perfect and it will only rain at night!
