Have you ever been to a Top Golf location?
There are a multitude of games to play and each gives the player(s) a different experience.
Top Golf
In our signature game, players score points by hitting balls (assigned using our microchip technology) into any target. The more accurate your shot and the farther the distance, the more points you earn.
Top Scramble
Beginner, and experienced golfers compete mano-a-mano on a level playing field. Players are split into teams, and the best score on each ball is used as the score for the team.
Top Pressure
Test your touch and accuracy by hitting all nine sections within the yellow target. Close out the first level, then see point values multiply during levels two and three. Be careful not to hit the same section twice or you’ll lose points.
Top Chip
For fans of the short game, TopChip uses just the red target (five shots), yellow target (five shots) and green target (10 shots). Hit the correct target and you’ll score points, but hit the wrong one and see your points disappear.

Here are my pros and cons to Top Golf:
Pro #1 – You decide how long you want to play
Most games take 30-45 minutes and you can play as many games as you would like. All depending on how many players you have.
Pro #2 – Food and beverage at your service
With table side service food and drinks are brought right to you. Click Here to see a menu.
Pro #3 – You do not get punished for bad shots
Unlike a round of golf, a bad shot only gets you 0 points. No more punching out of the woods, losing a ball in the pond, or putting your shot out of bounds.
Con #1 – It’s not golf
Although Top Golf is a lot of fun, it is not golf. It is a driving range, morphed with a bowling alley.
Con #2 – Hitting off mats
Love that crisp divot made from your wedge shot? Not going to happen here.
Con #3 – Limited flight balls
Wondering if you have lost distance? It is not your swing, just the balls. What is meant to keep their range balls in the yard can leave you frustrated.
This is based off of my experiences at Denver, Florida and the DC Metro area. For me it does not replace golf but does offer an alternative to golfing with a group of friends.
